The Bessemer is a 128-unit apartment building completed in partnership with Schafer Richardson and Noor Companies. Part of the multi-phase Seward Commons project, The Bessemer is the first apartment building in the neighborhood in 40 years to be built without income limits, representing a critical step forward in providing diverse housing options in Seward. The Bessemer offers studio, one and two-bedroom units for middle-income families on the Hiawatha bike path from the Franklin Light Rail station. Building features include extensive bike-friendly amenities for residents and a new trail connection available to the public through a park dedication easement.
