Redesign believes the local business community should be representative of our neighborhoods at large, and that supporting BIPOC, immigrant, and women-run businesses is essential to decreasing disparities and promoting wealth building in these communities.

Redesign’s small business technical assistance program is made possible with support from Ameriprise Financial, BMO Harris, The City of Minneapolis, The Minneapolis Foundation, The Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development, The Shavlik Family Foundation, Target Foundation, and Xcel Energy Foundation.
Redesign helps business owners buy, renovate, and develop their spaces. Our team has developed projects of all scales, from 1,000 square foot storefront buildouts to 20,000 square foot industrial renovations. Our goal is to support property owners in making long-term, community-minded decisions.
Façade Improvement Grants of up to $5,000 are available to businesses in designated eligible areas. These grants can match your investment to support marketing, windows, new signage, placemaking, walkability, and more in our business districts.
If your business has plans to expand your existing capacity by adding square footage, acquiring a new piece of equipment, or relocating to our service area, you may be eligible for a low-interest or profit-based small business financing from Redesign and our partners.
